Lillian M. Hudspeth Memorial,operated by the Sutton County Hospital District, is a critical access hospital licensed for twelve beds, located in Sonora, Texas and serves Sutton County and surrounding areas. We are proud to be a regional leader in technology. Hudspeth Hospital offers a high nurse-to-patient ratio providing quality care for all patients. A small town atmosphere of friendliness is one of the highest priorities of all our staff members. Located on I-10 in the central-southwestern part of the state, principal industries in the area include livestock, agribusiness, hunting, outdoor recreation, and the oil and gas industry. The district also operates The Health and Wellness Center and Sonora Medical Clinic. The Health and Wellness Center is the areas only full service fitness facility including an in-door pool. The Sonora Medical Clinic offers five medical providers including three physicians and two mid-level providers. The clinic,located on the hospital campus is open Monday through Friday. Construction is underway of the new 8200 sq/ft imaging center and GI and specialty procedure space. The new imaging center will include MRI, ultrasound and digital mammorgraphy. The GI and specialty procedure space will include a dedicated GI suite for colonoscopy and endoscopy as well as space for the expanding specialty clinics. Completion is expected October, 2010.
