Hudspeth Memorial Hospital among top 20 critical access hospitals

Hudspeth Memorial in Sonora is one of the country's top 20 critical access hospitals (CAHs) for financial stability, according to the National Rural Health Association.

The top 20 critical access hospitals, including Hudspeth Memorial, scored best among critical access hospitals on iVantage Health Analytics' Hospital Strength Index for Financial Stability. The list was announced during the National Rural Health Association's Critical Access Hospital Conference in Kansas City, Mo.

"Hudspeth Memorial is proud of the efforts of its physicians and staff who contribute to our hospital achieving this designation," said Keith L. Butler, CEO "Our results as a top 20 Critical Access Hospital means our community can count on us to deliver the services they need now and in the future."

"The award also reflects the commitment of the people of Sutton County and the generous foresight of the Hudspeth family and the hospital district board to operate a financially stable facility that delivers high quality medical care," Butler continued.

Critical access hospitals provide outpatient and inpatient hospital services to people in rural areas.
