Position Summary
The Medical Registration Clerk interviews incoming patients to obtain and verify demographic, insurance, and emergency contact information. This role is responsible for ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and that patient accounts are properly established in accordance with clinic policies.
Responsibilities • Greet and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner • Collect and verify demographic, insurance, and emergency contact information • Ensure completion and accuracy of patient registration paperwork • Collect copayments and process patient payments • Answer incoming phone calls and assist with general inquiries • Assist patients and family members with questions regarding registration • Retrieve prior medical records and maintain organized patient account documentation • Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations • Support additional front office duties as assigned

The Wellness Center at Lillian M. Hudspeth Memorial Hospital is looking for a motivated and responsible individual to work as a Wellness Center Representative. Applicant would work limited hours (6-8 hours per week) and must be available able to work 6 pm to 9 pm Monday through Friday and at least two Saturdays a month from 8 am to 12 noon. This is a highly visible position that requires working closely with Wellness Center members, hospital district staff, and the community. The registration clerk oversees all activities at the Wellness Center front desk, answers the multiline switchboard for the hospital district, and orients new members to proper equipment use. Some clerical work, including managing membership records, accepting payments, and ensuring accuracy of receipts is performed under the direction of the Wellness Director. The successful applicant will have a current driver’s license and access to reliable transportation, must have excellent communication skills; in-person and on the phone, must be able to work independently, and must be knowledgeable with the use of computer applications. The Sutton County Hospital District is looking for a motivated Occupational Therapist to join our rehab team in a hospital-based setting that includes outpatient therapy, acute care, and swing bed. This role gives you the opportunity to work across multiple settings and follow patients through different stages of recovery.
In this position, you’ll evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans focused on improving function, increasing independence, and helping patients get back to their daily lives. You’ll see a wide variety of diagnoses, including orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, post-surgical cases, and general medical patients.
This role requires strong clinical judgment, flexibility, and the ability to manage a varied caseload throughout the day. You’ll work closely with physicians, nursing, PT, and case management to provide coordinated care and ensure safe, appropriate discharge planning. You should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to maintain solid documentation, communication, and patient education.
